Ambrosia

About Ambrosia

Mama Ambrosia is the proud mom of the adorable “Salad Mix” puppies, and her foster family has lovingly called her “Mom". After spending her time raising, loving, and protecting her nine babies, this sweet girl is finally ready for something she’s never truly had: a forever family of her very own.

Ambrosia is a loving, loyal girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She absolutely loves carrying around her favorite toys and soaking up affection. She’s also incredibly smart! In just the few short weeks she’s been in rescue, she has already learned sit, drop it, outside, and shake. She’s eager to learn and continues to make amazing progress every day.

Like any good mama, Ambrosia can be very protective of what she considers valuable. She has some food reactivity and can occasionally become barrier-aggressive when she has food or high-value treats. She has come a long way in just a few weeks, though, and her progress has been wonderful to watch. When she first arrived, she also showed some toy guarding, but she has not demonstrated that behavior recently.

Ambrosia likely could do well with respectful children given her sweet and affectionate personality, but she has not yet been formally tested with kids, so any introductions would need to be thoughtful and supervised.

After giving her puppies the love, protection, and guidance they needed, she deserves the chance to be someone's baby now. She’s ready for a family who will continue to help her grow, celebrate her progress, and show her just how wonderful life can be.

If you're looking for a loyal companion, a smart girl with plenty of personality, and a best friend who has a whole lot of love left to give, Ambrosia is ready to meet you.
