1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using AdoptPet.org ("the Registry"), you agree to abide by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from utilizing our adoption services, foster directories, or rehoming tools.

2. Adoption Eligibility & Welfare Standards

AdoptPet.org connects rescue animals with responsible caregivers. Prospective adopters must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess a legal residential dwelling capable of accommodating companion animals safely.
• Commit to providing humane veterinary care, shelter, and companionship without abandonment.

3. Anti-Puppy Mill & Anti-Flipping Policy

Our platform strictly prohibits commercial breeding operations, pet-flipping, or the resale of rescue animals. Any user attempting to acquire animals for unauthorized commercial exploitation will be permanently banned and reported to relevant animal welfare authorities.

4. Foster Identity Verification

To preserve the privacy and physical security of volunteer foster families, direct telephone numbers and residential collection addresses are gated behind mandatory safety verification protocols. Users must complete this verification step before receiving direct foster contact details.

5. Health & Behavioral Disclaimers

While foster families and shelters provide documented veterinary records, AdoptPet.org operates as an introductory facilitation network. We make no express warranties regarding long-term temperament or undocumented latent conditions. Adopters are encouraged to conduct a thorough meet-and-greet prior to final transfer.

6. Limitation of Liability

AdoptPet.org and its volunteer coordinators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from interactions between adopters, foster families, or third-party service providers.
