Archie here, and yes, that is me literally waving at you with my foot in the first picture! That is my signature move whenever I want attention, a high-five, or just to make you smile.

If you like birds with huge, funny personalities, I am your guy. I am about three and a half years old, fully hand-tame, and step right up onto arms or legs without a second thought. In the second photo, you can see me chilling right on my foster human's knee with my full yellow mohawk on display. When good music comes on, I will bob my head, fan out my crest, and show off my little dance routine.

Do not let my size fool you though, deep down I am basically a big fluffy lap dog. My absolute favorite part of the day is leaning my whole head against your chest and letting you give me long, slow scratches all the way down my neck. I take almond pieces and apple chunks from your fingers so gently, and I love practicing words like "Hi Archie!" and making funny laughing sounds when the house is lively.

I am healthy, banded, fully feathered, and looking for an experienced bird lover or family who has time to give me daily out-of-cage time and lots of affection. If you are ready for a goofy, loyal best friend who will wave hello to you every morning, send in an application!
