Barnaby here! First things first, yes, my chest is rocking a bit of a bare sweater look right now. In my previous living situation, I was bored and stressed, so I plucked some feathers off my chest and legs. My foster family helped me stop, and while some feathers may never grow back, my heart is completely full of love.

Honestly, having less feathers just means I feel your warm hands and neck scratches even better! I am about five years old, completely hand-tame, and step right up onto arms with zero fuss. I am a very calm, gentle soul who loves sitting on my big wooden perch by the sunny window, tilting my head sideways to watch the day go by.

I am not a loud bird at all. I mostly just make soft happy grunts, say a quiet "Hello!", and make kissing noises when you walk past. Hand me a cracked walnut, a warm piece of corn on the cob, or some sweet melon, and we will be friends for life.

I just want an understanding, patient human who looks past my patchy feathers and sees the sweet, loyal lap bird underneath. If you have love to give to a rescue guy who truly deserves it, put in an application for me!
