About NOS

Nos is a timid young adult who is learning to trust people. He takes a bit of time to warm up, but once he has accepted you, he will follow you everywhere. He has attached himself to our 18-year-old son and is thrilled to hang out and snuggle with him.

Once he’s comfortable with you, Nos soaks up the scratches and attention. He loves to nap on the couch, with his head in your lap. He’s even offered a few tentative kisses in the 24 hours we’ve had him.

Nos is just beginning to decompress and gain confidence in life and his environment. He needs people to be slow and patient with him for now. He doesn’t like to feel like he’s being chased or forced to do something - he’d rather think things are his idea. He will go in a crate and hang out a bit, but will bark if you leave him there. He’s happy to explore in our fenced backyard, but it works best if we open the door and let him head out when he’s ready. This will improve in time; he’s had a lot to figure out in a short amount of time.

He’s not yet interested in playing with the other dogs at our house - because they’re not the dogs he’s used to. But he’s been relatively patient with meeting them.

When Nos meets people, he’s more comfortable when they get down to his level (or sit on a couch), rather than tower over him. He will take a slow sniff, then allow you to pet him. After all, he knows he is darling!

Nos is a beautiful boy! He’s got the sweetest chocolate eyes and super soft fur. With time and patience, he will make a great pet!
