About Phil
Phil is an amazing boy. Super gentle giant. He doesn't engage in wrestling with the other dogs since he prefers people and shows you his toys to get praise, and he loves pets and cuddling. He does very well with other animals and is not food aggressive at all, and he is wonderful with cats. He takes his meds super easily. He has some guarding issues with toys and bones, but not major, and today, he's only done little warning growls rather than lunging and snapping.
Crating is going very well. He goes in without any issues and doesn't try to come back out. He likes the front covered to stay quiet, and he has no issue continuously barking for up to a half hour before he settles, but then not a peep all night (having soothing music seems to help. Without it, he did not want to settle at all). He has fallen in love with a green monster toy and a giant benebone.
He has a lot of energy but will walk calmly on a leash without pulling or lunging for the most part, but he obviously has some puppy instincts and energy still since he is young. He would most likely benefit from some structured training with his forever family and since he is very food and treat motivated he should be fairly easy to train into a wonderful boy!
