Toast

About Toast

Toast is a sweet, timid girl who is slowly discovering that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. In just a short time in foster care, she’s already made some heartwarming progress!

Toast is naturally fearful and tends to keep her distance from people, often finding the tiniest hiding spots where she feels safe. But with patience, gentle encouragement, and a little time, she’s beginning to accept pets and a little belly rub. She’s even discovered the comforts of a cozy couch!

Her foster sister has been her biggest confidence booster, teaching her how to play with toys, enjoy a good game of chase, and navigate life in a home. Toast recently celebrated a big milestone—her very first happy zoomies in the yard! Watching her little personality emerge has been such a joy.

Toast is still learning that everyday things like leashes, crates, and going in and out of the house aren’t so scary. Potty training is a work in progress, but as her confidence grows, so does her success. She finds comfort in having a familiar person or dog nearby and takes many of her cues from her foster sister. Underneath all that uncertainty is a playful, loving little girl just waiting to feel safe.
